INTERVIEW BY WOMEN LOS ANGELES
Women LA: Suzan, your story begins with a legend. You stood on stage with Michael Jackson as a child. What do you remember from that moment?
Suzan Wusa: It was pure magic. I was just a kid, but that moment changed everything for me. Standing on stage with Michael Jackson, feeling the lights, the energy, the music — it was the moment my artistic soul was born. Now with the new Michael Jackson film coming out, it brings me back to that very special time. It’s emotional because it reminds me of where my love for music began. In a way, it feels like coming full circle.

Women LA: Music was your first love, but you are known for so much more. Makeup artist, DJ, TV personality, CEO. How did that evolution happen?
Suzan Wusa: I’ve always believed creativity has no limits. Makeup was never just beauty to me — it was storytelling and transformation. I worked in Paris, Milan, and Dubai, backstage at Fashion Weeks, for top magazines, and with luxury brands like Gucci. I styled celebrities at Cannes, appeared on television, and built a career that merges artistry with business.
At the same time, music never left me. I’ve been DJing since 2008, performing around the world, opening shows for Afrojack, meeting Jason Derulo, DJ Snake, and creating unforgettable moments on stage.

Women LA: You’ve lived in Paris, Miami, Dubai, and now you’re back in Germany. How have these places shaped you?
Suzan Wusa: Each city gave me a different piece of my identity. Paris taught me elegance and detail. Miami gave me rhythm and freedom. Dubai taught me ambition and scale. And now, being back in Germany, I feel grounded and more centered. All these experiences are becoming part of my music. I’ve lived so many lives in one, and now I’m ready to turn all of that into sound.

Women LA: 2026 is a major milestone for you with your debut album. What can we expect?
Suzan Wusa: This album is my rebirth. It’s my story told through music. Emotional, international, raw, and honest. There is a very special track written for MCM, the Munich based iconic fashion brand preparing for its fiftieth anniversary. That collaboration feels aligned with my journey. Fashion and music merging the way they always have for me.

Women LA: Beyond music, you’ve built Wusa Entertainment into a global creative agency. What inspired you to create it?
Suzan Wusa: Wusa Entertainment is the universe I always dreamed of building. A place where artistry and business meet. We produce campaigns, events, media content, and brand concepts around the world. My team is filled with people who share my drive for excellence and innovation. It’s not just a company. It’s a living creative ecosystem.
Women LA: You’ve built one of the most dynamic creative careers today. What drives you in this chapter of your life?
Suzan Wusa: Passion and purpose. I want people to understand they can do it all. They don’t need to choose one path. I followed intuition, worked hard, and stayed true to my vision. 2026 feels like my year. A new era of creation and truth.

Women LA: And finally, if you could say one thing to the world right now, what would it be?
Suzan Wusa: Believe in your magic. Everything you’ve ever dreamed of is already inside you. Let it shine.
